Detection Abilities of Vehicle Backup Warning Systems

Other Technologies:

There are mainly three other technologies applied to vehicle backup warning systems besides ultrasonic echolocation sonar.  Infrared, Laser Radar and Microwave technologies are the other three.  However, each of these technologies have serious limitations as outlined below:

Infrared:

Can become temporarily "blinded" by bright sunlight.

• Can fail to differentiate heavy clothing from landscape during low

temperature situations

• Offers "low" distance accuracy

Laser Radar:

Heavily dependent upon the light reflectivity of the object it is designed to detect

• Offers "low" distance accuracy

Microwave:

Functions only when either the object or the vehicle is moving.  Does

not detect if both vehicle and obstacles are stationary

• The microwave systems traditionally have Poorer accuracy, usually about

+/-  1 to 3 feet

We realize that after researching vehicle reversing and backup warning alert systems that sometimes it can get a little confusing as to the abilities and accuracy levels of the different types of systems that are available to you in the marketplace today.  We believe that our DRIVER ALERTTM systems are the best vehicle backup alarm systems available within the marketplace today.

No other systems available can do what our DRIVER ALERTTM systems can do for you.

Our DRIVER ALERTTM systems all utilize "ultrasonic echolocation sonar", the same as the most sophisticated sonar used the U.S. Military.  In each application the sonar is calibrated for the most effective purpose for which it was designed to perform.

No other system can actually "see" three dimensional objects other than "ultrasonic echolocation sonar" in its various forms, one of which is installed into our DRIVER ALERTTM Vehicle Reversing Aid and Backup Warning Systems.  The DRIVER ALERTTM miniature acoustic detector/sensors transmit a modulated beam signal.

This beam signal is capable of seeing through fog, rain, smoke, snow, and other types of bad weather "Day and Night."  When the signal strikes a stationary "or" moving target, it bounces back to the receiver and instantaneously sends the signal directly to the microprocessor.

The 8-bit microprocessor programmed with our exclusive "intelligent control software" processes the feedback signals automatically and continuously calculates the "vehicle to obstacle distance."  The computed results are transmitted to the speaker alerting the driver to the distance of the person or obstacle that is behind their vehicle in feet and inches.  If the microprocessor determines that a particular condition requires the driver to take special precautions, special emergency sounds are generated to assist the driver to take corrective action.

The most important differences between our DRIVER ALERTTM Vehicle Reversing Aid and Backup Warning Systems to other vehicle backup warning technologies are:

Accuracy - The DRIVER ALERTTM systems are accurate to

+/- 2-inches.

Voice Warning - The DRIVER ALERTTM systems are the ONLY systems that actually "TELLS" the driver the distance of people or obstacles behind their vehicle.

Object Detection - The DRIVER ALERTTM systems detect both stationary "and" moving objects continuously.

Distance Detection - The DRIVER ALERTTM systems have one of the largest detection ranges available.

Flexibility - The DRIVER ALERTTM systems can be installed on most types of personal use,Motorhomes and light to heavy duty commercial use vehicles.
